NEIS is a commonwealth government program funded by the Department of Education Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR), and assists eligible social security recipients into self-employment. The program includes training in small business management, the development of a business plan, one year of income support (equivalent to current single adult rate of Newstart paid fortnightly) and mentor support.
NEIS Training

NEIS Business Plan
During the training program participants develop a business plan that allows them to forecast business growth, allocate resources and manage risks and business opportunities. This working document allows business owner /operators to realise their goals and monitor business performance.
